It all began with a simple tweet, as do many celebrity controversies these days. On the night before Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore’s 6th wedding anniversary, Moore tweeted a quote from Greek philosopher, Epictetus, that resulted in the age-old question, “Are they splitting up?”
“When we are offended at any man’s fault, turn to yourself and study your own failings. Then you will forget your anger,” was the quote Moore posted, according to The Scoop.
A quote, with no context, can convey many meanings. But in the context of this relationship, it doesn’t look too good.
According to People.com, the pair dealt with rumors about possible infidelity only a year ago. This tweet seems to suggest those rumors could be proven true.
Not to mention the couple spent their anniversary apart. Kutcher spent the weekend in San Diego partying with former That '70s Show co-star Danny Masterson while Moore, 15 years his senior, was in New York promoting her short film that she directed for Lifetime.
The actors’ reps have released no comment yet.
