Are ‘Blue Valentine’ Stars Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams a Couple?

The stars of the film, Blue Valentine, which recently earned two Golden Globe nominations for its actors Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams, is about a married couple whose marriage has fallen apart. In reality, the two stars seem to have gotten close, causing rumors to swirl that the two are dating.

Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams recently gave an interview with ABC News Nightline, airing Tuesday night, where they continue to keep everyone guessing. Host Cynthia McFadden asked the stars both 30, if they were a couple. Gosling pretended not to hear the question and while placing his arm around Williams, she shook her head “no” with a smirk.

McFadden replied, “I don’t believe that.” Gosling, who also called Williams a “sexy cowboy,” later replied, commenting on his honesty, “I always look like I'm lying. It's just – that's my face.”

Williams and Gosling were seen getting cozy in Cannes in May. They were seen holding hands at Sundance early January. Gosling, however, has been rumored to be getting close with Gossip Girl Blake Lively. Williams has a 5-year-old daughter, Matilda, with the late Heath Ledger.
