Are Demi Lovato, 18, and Ryan Phillippe, 36, an item?

Demi Lovato, a former Disney star who recently launched her comeback from various personal issues with the release of “Skyscraper,” and Ryan Phillippe, a divorced father of three who most recently starred in the film adaptation of The Lincoln Lawyer, are reported to have been secretly dating for the last couple of months.

Their alleged relationship was reportedly heating up before Phillippe’s ex-girlfriend, Alexis Knapp, gave birth to their daughter, Kai, on July 1.

“It was really hot and heavy for a while,” a source close to Lovato, 18, and Phillippe, 36, tells E! Online.

The insider adds that their romance began to cool down with the birth of Knapp’s daughter, as Lovato was unaware that Phillippe was an expectant father “until it basically happened. It kind of threw her for a loop.”

There are conflicting reports surrounding the seemingly unlikely pair, with Celebuzz hearing that they are not romantically linked.

Phillippe, who was married to Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon for seven years before they divorced in 2006, was in an on-again, off-again relationship with Amanda Seyfried earlier this year. Lovato has recently dated Joe Jonas and Wilmer Valderrama.
