Aretha Franklin Gets Criticized for Her Fur Coat at the Grammys
According to the Associated Press, PETA has awarded Aretha Franklin with the title for this year's worst-dressed celebrity, due to the fur coat she wore at this year's Grammy Awards.
The animal rights organization asked the singer to show some R-E-S-P-E-C-T for animals, and claimed Franklin does not have any compassion. Aretha is not the only celebrity to be targeted by PETA for their fashion choices.
Marilyn Manson and Eva Longoria are among the other offenders. Singer Kylie Minogue was seen wearing a python purse and was called cold-blooded by PETA members. Lindsay Lohan and Kate Moss have also been publicly denounced for their animal skin garments. Britney Spears was not mentioned this year, reportedly because the organization did not feel the need to criticize her during her current dramatic episodes.
PETA asked individuals to vote for the worst-dressed celebrities on the Web site Fur Is Dead.
