The Bluths are back! And they won't just be appearing in the upcoming movie, they're making a return to your TV screen.
Reuters reported the upcoming Arrested Development movie will be preceded by a short season of nine or 10 new episodes of the critically acclaimed show.
The cast of Arrested Development and co-creator and executive producer Mitch Hurwitz attended the "Bluth Family Reunion," a Q&A hosted by the New Yorker Festival, where they spilled the beans on the next stages of the show.
Hurwitz said the season will pick up where it ended and recap what's happened to each individual character since the show ended in 2006. The episodes will also serve to build up the plotline of the movie.
Reuters added viewers could see mama's boy, Buster, as the subject of lab experiments.
And when it comes to the movie, Hurwitz said he's already written about half the script. He also admitted to starting rumors to throw fans for a loop, according to USA Today.
"We're all game (for the movie)," Hurwitz said. "We've hated being coy, but we were working on this ambitious idea."
And fortunately, one of those rumors was that Michael Cera wanted more money for the movie. Ladies, he's still the down-to-earth guy he was before stardom.
No word yet on whether Fox will be airing the episodes or if the season was picked up by a different network.
