Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurtwitz appeared at the New Yorker Festival alongside the cast of the axed Fox show on Sunday, and he revealed plans for the show to come back – as well as a movie being in the works.
The show will return for nine or ten episodes for a mini-season, Reuters reports.
Meanwhile, Will Arnett backed up his statements by tweeting, “I'm peeing with @batemanjason at the moment ... and we can confirm that we are going to make new AD eps and a movie."
Arrested Development was pulled off the air after three short seasons in 2006 despite critical acclaim.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Hurwitz said of the announcement, “We're all game. We've hated being coy, but we've been trying to put together this ambitious idea."
