Artie Lange has a job with Stern, if he wants it

. . . contrary to what Perez Hilton's report would have you believe.

Artie Lange's attempted suicide on Jan. 2 spurred many rumors, but the most widely spread was that from a Perez Hilton blog site, saying that Sirius XM Satellite Radio would be dropping the long-time Stern sidekick.

"The Perez Hilton report is absolutely false," said Tim Sabean, senior vice president of Stern's channels on the satellite radio station. "Artie is very much a part of these channels, and we look forward to Artie's fast recovery and we wish him all the best."

Perez Hilton's sources claimed that Sirius had informed Stern of Lange's drop, but were waiting to tell Lange himself until he was out of the hospital.

Police have confirmed recently that Lange's mother found him in his apartment last week with nine wounds to his stomach area from a 13-inch kitchen knife. They believe the wounds to be self-inflicted, and therefore an attempted suicide. Lange has been released from the hospital, and no pink slip has been issued as of yet.
