Ashlee Simpson to join London cast of "Chicago"
Simpson becomes another celebrity to appear in variation versions of musical
While her sister might not be able to use her voice, Ashlee Simpson has found a new voice for herself - as Roxie Hart in the London production of "Chicago."
Simpson's publicist, Rob Shuter, told E! Online the pop singer had begun rehearsals earlier this week in the role made famous by Renee Zellweger in the film adaptation of the musical. Simpson has built up an impressive resume as an actress; she has appeared in "7th Heaven" and the film "Undiscovered."
Simpson is the latest in a long line of celebrities to appear in the various productions of "Chicago." Usher, Terri Hatcher, Wayne Brady and Huey Lewis have all appeared in various performance of the musical.
