Ashlee Simpson-Wentz to Star on "Melrose Place"
She's back! Ashlee Simpson-Wentz will be starring full-time on the CW's new "Melrose Place" that will air this fall. This is a rendition of the "Melrose Place" that aired during the 90s that starred great actresses such as Heather Locklear, Kelly Rutherford, and "Desperate Housewives" Marcia Cross.
Simpson-Wentz spoke to MTV about her new role as Violet Foster: "I play the girl that's straight-off-the-bus. It's fun," she said. The best part of it, is the actors don't even know what's going to happen next. According to Simpson-Wentz, the scripts are not given to the actors until they're about to shoot them, so the suspense of what will happen next is just the same!
Simpson-Wentz is best known for her music and small role on "7th Heaven" but "this is what I wanted to do and this is such a great show. I'm so excited about the show," she reported to MTV.
Simpson-Wentz and Fall Out Boy husband, Pete Wentz both made an appearance on "CSI" recently, but Simpson-Wentz tells MTV not to expect him to make an appearance on "Melrose Place" anytime soon.
