Ashton Kutcher Threatens to Stop Tweeting

The Twitter enthusiast claims he will stop tweeting if the Twitter television show is confirmed.

After word circulated on Monday that the micro-blogging site, Twitter, may begin its own reality television show, Twitter-pro Ashton Kutcher expressed his distaste for the idea.

"It's all fun and games until somebody gets stalked," Kutcher wrote on his Twitter page late Monday.

On Monday, Variety magazine reported that the San Francisco-based Twitter.com partnered with television producers Reveille and Brillstein Entertainment to create an unscripted show that would be "putting ordinary people on the trail of celebrities in a revolutionary competitive format."

"Wow I hope this isn't true. I really don't like being sold out. May have to take a twitter hiatus," Kutcher tweeted.

Twitter co-founder Biz Stone said there was "no official Twitter TV show" in the works, but "we have a lightweight, non-exclusive, agreement with the producers which helps them move forward more freely."

Last month, Kutcher challenged CNN in a race to one million Twitter followers, which he won. Kutcher's following has doubled in the past five weeks since the race. Currently, he is the most followed account on Twitter.
