Assault charges against Eminem dropped

Charges filed against rapper Eminem for assaulting a man in an 8-Mile strip club have been dropped with no explanation.

Charges against rapper Eminem (real name Marshall Mathers) of punching a man in a Detroit strip club on 8-Mile Road last week are reported by thedeadbolt.com to have been dropped Monday.

The man filing the charges, who identifies himself as Miad J., told the Detroit Police that Eminem had assaulted him in the bathroom of Cheetah's strip club after defending a man who was being hassled by Eminem's security guards.

"I said 'the guys not saying nothing, he's just talking to him, he's not saying anything,'" Miad J. told Detroit newstation WXYZ last week, as reported by AllHipHop.com. "Eminem got done and boom. He started swinging. I wasn't even expecting it. I was just minding my own business, taking a leak."

Miad J. has dropped the charges with no explanation as to why.
