Most of you have heard about the best little town in Texas, aka Austin. If you're into music, then you already know that the Austin City Limits Music Festival is the place to be in October each year. I call it the Rockapalooza because, for those 3 days, the entire city rocks with music.
Mark Calendars; Load Car
This year, the annual three-day music festival in Zilker Park in Austin, Texas, is set for October 8-10. For the first time, The Eagles, one of my faves, will be headlining the festival, named in homage for the legendary PBS concert series, which is still televised where I live.
Stellar Lineup
The Austin City Limits Festival showcases more than 130 bands on eight stages, with every genre of music represented. After all, this is Austin, which prides itself on musical diversity. Since the festival draws crowds of more than 65,000 every day of its run, you can imagine the atmosphere is electric. That's what the producers, C3 Presents, one of the co-producers of Lollapalooza, brings to the party.
Along with the Eagles, you can hear M.I.A., Phish, Muse, The Strokes, Flaming Lips, Vampire Weekend, Blues Traveler, and Norah Jones.
Space doesn't permit listing the other 120 plus bands representing every musical persuasion, so visit the festival's website for all the details including ticket info. This year's festival promises to be one big party.
Okay, who’s ready for a road trip next month?
