Aziz Ansari's Antics Land Him Host Gig at MTV Movie Awards

Comedian Aziz Ansari has been announced as the 2010 host for MTV's Movie Awards. The funny man started out on television on MTV's Human Giant, and after his success on NBC's sitcom Parks & Recreation, the world is taking notice.

Thanks to his friends' encouraging, Ansari started doing stand-up and improv at various New York clubs, Ansari caught the eye of MTV while part of the improv group Human Giant. The show only lasted two seasons, but that was all it took for Ansari's funny side to shine through. In Parks & Recreation, he is becoming a popular character, gaining more screen time and more lines. He has also done some bits for FunnyorDie.com, according to MTV. He even did a bit for Justin Bieber's April Fool's Day prank about taking over the Funny or Die website.
