The Bachelorette: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Last night's episode of "The Bachelorette" was all about the good, the bad and the ugly, in an attempt to win Julian's heart. At the end of the night, three guys went home disappointed. We learned that David has anger problems, Tanner P. still loves feet, and Juan has lines for days.
The first date of the night went to Ed. He got to take Jill on a jaw dropping date.
"I'm excited to see Jillian," said Ed. "This is kinda my first time to spend time with her. I'm looking forward to learning more about her, but at the same time, it's scary. I don't want to leave. I want to use today as an opportunity to show Jillian I am interested in her."
"There was something about him that caught my attention right away," said Jillian. "He's an extremely sexy guy."
Ed and Jill shared a helicopter ride over the city followed by a plunge down several stories of a tall building. The "couple" got close in the pool they landed in and she wound up giving him a rose.
Next up was a group date with 11 guys: Reid, Wes, Mike, Michael, Tanner F., Mark, Brad, Robby, Tanner P. and Juan. They stepped onto a Hollywood Western set where the boys showed Jillian the good, the bad and the ugly though their assigned acting roles. As part of the act, Brad and Jill shared a long kiss. The boys were a bit repulsed by it.
Michael put his two cents in: "Brad's kiss was one of the most awkward things I've ever seen two human beings do together. He put both his hands down to his side and didn't move his lips or anything."
Tanner P. said it looked like Brad "was kissing his sister."
Robby and Jill shared an intimate moment within their roles.
"Know this I never felt this way about anyone before," he said as looked into her eyes. Jillian put her hands on his face for a minute and he continued with his part. "No matter what happens, I want to marry you." Cliche to the show?
Wes marked his territory as Wes always does. When he pulled Jill aside, he surprisingly didn't have his guitar handy. Don't worry, Wes fans, that comes later. The date ended with Michael and Mike putting on a gay scene and a wrap party which featured the Western recordings from the day. After some cattiness from the boys and a moment between Reid and Jill, which was stolen away by Juan, all 12 hopped in the hot tub. Tanner P. could not wait to grab Jill's feet. The rose went to someone who made her feel comfortable: Robby.
The third date was with Sasha. Jill took him to look at cars and this involved a sexy photo shoot. Later on, they took a cruise in a Ferrari. Despite the fact that Sasha shared a piece of his past with Jill about a car accident in which he almost lost his life in, Jill sent him home. She didn't think she could be the perfection he was looking for and was scared about the fact that he hadn't had his heart broken before.
Back at the house, the boys kept up their cattiness. Some of the guys questioned others intentions for being there.
Tanner P. mocked the guys playing their guitars.
"Ladadee-ladda-doo-laddadee-ladda-doo, I mean that's not Tanner," he said. "I'm not going to do that. Psssh. I don't even want to know how to do that. Regardless, I got other skills."
After the guys went in for the night, out went Wes, a modern day Romeo who stood with his guitar in his arms outside Jillian's window. Is she really smitten by this? She seemed to be. Tensions were flying high as it got closer to the rose ceremony.
Juan pulled Jillian aside and fed her lines that the guys were surprised she hadn't picked up on yet. He complemented her outfit and said he was there for her. David was heated. Drink after drink, he expressed his hatred towards Juan.
"I'd kill him," said David. "I hate him. Juan says what she wants to hear. She has to pick up on that kind of thing, if not, she's just like every other girl."
The boys tried to get alone time with the lady.
"I'm not here for an agenda," said Tanner P. "I'm here to suck on some toes, and I'm here to meet some Jillian. I mean, I totally love feet, but at the same time, I want to get to know Jillian first before I get to know, the feet!"
A few of the men huddled poolside. David continued to run his mouth. It looked like something was about to go down. Perhaps a fight? Nah, just some words between David and Juan which entailed David telling Juan to go away.
"I don't like you
you're 35, man," said David.
After the confrontation, David continued taking about Juan.
"I'm not saying I'm the person for Jillian but Juan is not," he said. "He's here for the wrong reasons and for me to sit here and watch that go down is unacceptable."
Brad made an attempt to calm him down.
Clang, clang, clang! Chris came in hitting a spoon against a glass to interrupt everyone for the rose ceremony. Jillian evaluated some of the guys to Chris in an effort to make a decision on which to send home. Tanner F. and Brad got the boot. Perhaps it was the sisterly kiss on Brad's part?
Next week on "The Bachelorette," more toe-loving fun from Tanner P., and Jillian takes the lucky 13 to her home town of Vancouver.
