Baldwin Apologizes, Seeks Identity of Mole

Actor Alec Baldwin is attempting to smooth things over after an irate voicemail message leaked to the press. In it, Baldwin directs some rather harsh comments toward his 11-year-old daughter, Ireland, who failed to answer her father's scheduled phone call. Baldwin is in the middle of an increasingly unpleasant custody battle with ex-wife, actress Kim Basinger, for Ireland Baldwin. After posting his apology on his website, however, Baldwin had his lawyers file court papers to force TMZ.com to reveal the source that leaked the incriminating message. Baldwin's legal team is pursuing the Order to Show Cause on why ex-wife Basinger and her own legal team shouldn't be held in contempt.

Baldwin's attorneys are saying that Basinger was the only one with access to the message besides Ireland. Baldwin is urging a hearing to determine the identity of the mole, and also whether or not the court's orders had been violated.
