Baldwin Splits

Actor Alec Baldwin has called it quits between his agent and himself.Baldwin's publicist, Matthew Hiltzik, denied there was a connection between the actor leaving Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and his recent hullabaloo of when Baldwin went off on his daughter over a telephone voicemail message. Though Hiltzik did say that the decision was purely a "personal matter." Since the incident, Baldwin had already apologized for calling his 11-year-old child, Ireland, a "rude, thoughtless little pig."<

> During Baldwin's time with CAA, the actor has had roles in significantly highly praised pictures ,such as The Cooler, The Good Shepard and The Departed. Hiltzik also said that Baldwin isn't immediately looking for another agency right away. Although Baldwin has called it quits, the CAA continues to represent Baldwin's ex-wife, Kim Basinger, who been said to be the one who released the voicemail recordings. However, the actress has denied leaking the recording and has since hired a bodyguard for their daughter's safety. The pair have been locked in a long legal battle over the child since they called it quits in 2000. As for now, a Los Angeles judge has temporarily banned Baldwin from seeing his daughter until a hearing, which is set for May 4. For the time being, there will also be a separate court hearing set in June to determine how the tape was released to the media.
