Bale Thanks Horses for His Success

Actor Christian Bale credits the success he's had as an actor with skills he learned riding horses, WENN reports.

The actor rides frequently and feels that the activity gave him an important tool in the trade - confidence. "Once you master a horse - but it also masters you - you gain more confidence in yourself," Bale shares.

And the collaborative element of acting also comes into play. Theorizes Bale: "When you can mount it and move it and move along with it, that is a hard-won and very real accomplishment."

Perhaps it is an activity more should take up, if Bale's success is any example. He's had a string of successful movies - most recently The Dark Knight - and is currently working on Terminator Salvation, due out in 2009.

"I love horses," the Batman star raves. "I've learned from them."
