Balloon Boy the Movie?

Balloon boy is back and will be coming to theaters in the short documentary film Balloon Boy: Guilty until Proven Innocent.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, director Steven C. Barber has taken an interest in the Heene’s family balloon hoax and is hoping to prove Richard Heene’s innocence.

The documentary will feature footage of the backyard inventor that was originally compiled to land a TV reality show. Barber says that Heene invented the balloon to solve the world’s traffic problems allowing people to float over congested highways.

Heene’s sentence of 90 days behind bars began on January 11, according to E! News. Thirty of those days will be straight jail time and the balance as work release. He was also sentenced to four years probation, during which time he is not allowed to profit from his outlandish balloon scheme.

That means no movies anytime soon for Heene. Unless, Barber has found some way to work around that rule.
