The Kardashian sisters have certainly had a whirlwind year full of high ups and low lows. And even though thousands have signed a petition boycotting them, millions of others continue to watch their shows, which is why it makes sense that Barbara Walters considers them some of this year's most "fascinating people."

Us Weekly reported Walters released some of the names on her annual "Ten Most Fascinating People" list and Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian all made the cut.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the 82-year-old news goddess will present the entire list on December 14 in an ABC network special called Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2011.

Other stars who will be featured on the show include Pippa Middleton, American Idol and The X Factor's Simon Cowell, N.Y. Yankees' Derek Jeter, Donald Trump, Katy Perry and on screen Modern Family couple Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

Last year, U.S. commander Gen. David Petraeus took the list's number one spot.

Kate Middleton, Justin Bieber, Sarah Palin, Jennifer Lopez and Betty White also made 2010's list.

Who do you think will get top honors this time around?
