Baron Cohen Being Sued, Again
In yet another case brought against the star of "Borat," a woman by the name of Richelle Olson claims she was seriously injured by Sacha Baron Cohen while he was filming his upcoming comedy "Bruno".
As a result of the altercation, she is now crippled and is in need of a wheelchair or cane to move around. Delving deeper into the lawsuit, it's clear that Cohen is only indirectly involved with her injury, and had nothing physically to do with the harm she endured.
According to MSNBC Cohen was playing Bruno, the flamboyant Austrian homosexual, during a bingo game for an audience comprised of primarily the elderly. In response to the shocking vulgarity Bruno was using, Olson attempted to grab the microphone. In response, Cohen signaled for his camera crew, who, hoping to "create a dramatic emotional response" began "attacking" her.
Olson in a fit bolted from the stage, "sobbing uncontrollably. She then fell to the floor, hitting her head on a concrete slab."
br> Since Cohen was not physically responsible for the fall Olson took, it is presumed she is suing him for negligence. To have a case, Olson needs to prove that in the act Cohen's crew attacking her, "the possibilities of danger were so many and apparent" Olson was entitled to be protected against the doing of it although the harm was unintended.
