Barrymore and Long Break Up

Drew Barrymore and Justin Long have broken up, according to Long's publicist.

Drew Barrymore and Justin Long ended their relationship, according to Long's publicist, on Tuesday. Carrie Gordon, Long's publicist, told the Associated Press in a phone interview, "I just wanted to confirm that, yes, they did break up." Gordon added that the couple still remain friends.

Barrymore and Long costar in the film adaptation of the self-help best-seller, He's Just Not That into You, which is to come to theaters in February, according to AP. The split may be a surprise for those who have seen the couple's public displays of affection since they began dating last year.

Long has been in such films as Accepted and Dodgeball, and he also stars in Apple's TV commercials as the "Mac guy." Barrymore is known for films like 50 First Dates, Fever Pitch, and E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial.

Long was even part of the audience during Barrymore's recent appearance on Oprah Winfrey's talk show. Long said of their relationship, "She's the most compassionate person I've ever met." Barrymore had said, "This relationship is great. It's healthy, it's productive, and it's supportive. It's full of humor and a lot of fun," according to the Associated Press.
