Basketball Player Gets Cold Feet

Ex-forward player for the New Jersey Nets Richard Jefferson dumped his fiancee the night before their wedding, according to WPIX.com.

The woman he was supposed to marry and former dancer for the Nets, Kesha Ni'Cole Nichols, immediately notified her family and friends that the wedding was off but the man with cold feet did not notify people until two hours before the ceremony was to begin, one of his friends said. The decision was so last minute that some guests arrived, waiting for the ceremony to take place.

According to Associated Content, Jefferson gave his friends his Black Amex card for the night after the wedding was called off.

The wedding was to be held on Saturday at the luxurious Mandarin Oriental in New York and cost $2 million.

According to the New York Daily News, Nichols checked into the hotel on what was to have been her wedding night and was upgraded to a suite on the 45th floor overlooking Central Park. A family insider said that she is trying to keep quiet and move on.
