Baskett Denies Bad Blood Between Him and Hefner

NFL star Hank Baskett, who recently announced an engagement to Girls Next Door star Kendra Wilkinson, denied any hard feelings between him and Wilkinson's ex-boyfriend, Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner, according to People magazine.

"Hef is like a father to her so he's going to be the one to give her away," Baskett said Tuesday. "That's why I wanted his blessings and her mom's blessing."

After Baskett and Wilkinson announced their engagement earlier this month, Hefner said he would walk his former girlfriend down the aisle at their June 27 nuptials next summer.

Baskett also said he was attracted to Wilkinson because of her caring nature.

"Kendra has one of the biggest hearts and that's one of the things that really drew me to her," Baskett said. He added that the couple likes to relax and stay home.

"Both of us like to stay home and wear sweats [more] than go out and party," says Baskett. "Ever since I met her, this is the happiest I've ever been in my life. And every day she does something else that makes me fall in love with her."

The ceremony is scheduled to be held at the Playboy mansion next summer.
