Bateman's Sobriety
Actor Jason Bateman - famous for the film, Juno - has recently revealed that his decision to give up alcohol was largely due to the influence of his wife, WENN reports.
The actor apparently feels that drinking alcohol and being an adult can not go hand in hand, and he hasn't had a drink in nearly four years. And the 39-year-old feels that much of the decision was due to his wife - who never liked him drinking to begin with.
"The woman I was in love with was not really that tolerant of it, so I turned it off," says Bateman.
The actor sees giving up alcohol as a step in a mature direction. "I was just ready to graduate from adolescence and try my hand at being an adult," he theorizes. "I've spent all my fun chips and now I've parked my drinking boots in the closet. I haven't had a drink in four years."
