Batman 3 to Come in 2011?
Batman fans, we may just be seeing the Dark Knight again sooner than we think. According to Gary Oldman during Friday's Warner Brothers panel at San Diego's Comic-Con, "Batman 3" will begin shooting next year.
"We start filming the next 'Batman' next year, which means it won't come out for another two years," said the actor on Friday. But he also added in a sly tone, "You didn't hear that from me."
Oldman plays Lieutenant Commissioner Gorden in the films and although it may get a lot of fans excited, there has been no official word from director Christopher Nolan.
Yet one thing's for sure, any sequel to "The Dark Knight" will have to wait until Nolan finishes his next project, "Inception." Of course, knowing Hollywood, it's likely a sequel is imminent considering that both of Nolan's "Batman" films have taken a combined $1.4 billion in the global box office. Not making another film would just be bad business.
