Batman Director's Conception Is an "Inception"
Christopher Nolan is prepared to start on his next new project, Inception, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The Dark Knight director is in the midst of setting up the original screenplay at Warner Bros., the studio that released the mega-hit. Nolan is shooting for a summer 2010 release.
Inception is described as a sci-fi thriller.
As all of his films have been largely successful, expect a very long leash placed on the creative film director as he embarks on his latest romp, which reportedly is psychological and action-driven.
This will disappoint "Batman" fans everywhere as this news, no doubt, signifies a delay on any plans for a third Nolan-directed "Batman" film.
The Dark Knight was the biggest film of 2008, breaking many box office records. It grossed more than $500 million domestically, making it the second greatest earner ever. This places it behind the James Cameron-directed Titanic, which was released in 1997.
Squeezing in a project between "Batman" films is not new to the director. He filmed The Prestige in between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.
Nolan first received stateside acclaim with his second film, Memento.
