Beasley, Kansas State Defeat USC

Kansas State defeats USC 80-67.

Freshman sensation Michael Beasley will play at least one more game before he enters the NBA Draft.

The Kansas State forward defeated the USC Trojans and their star, O. J. Mayo, Thursday night, 80-67.

The Wildcats were powered by a strong performance by redshirt freshman Bill Walker, who scored 22 points. True freshman Jacob Pullen and Ron Anderson also did a nice job supporting Beasley, both reaching double figures.

Mayo poured in 20 points while playing all 40 minutes for USC. The problem for the Trojans throughout the night was foul trouble, evidence lying in the fact that two of their three best forwards fouled out of the game.

The 19-year-old Beasley scored 23 points after starting off the game slow because of his own personal foul trouble.

Beasley figures to be the overall number one pick, while Mayo figures to go at least in the top 10 in this summer's NBA Draft.
