The Beatles to be brought into the Digital Age
The World's most famous rock band, The Beatles, will be joining the digital remastered generation come September 9.
The out of date 1987 compact disc rerelease of their entire catalogue is the only remastered version the band that revolutionized music has, so far. Not only is their entire catalogue being released on September 9 but also they will have a game called "The Beatles: Rock Band" on all platforms of video gaming systems.
"Beatles" is joining the revolution of the current simulated music playing video games such as "Guitar Hero" and "Rock Band," which owns the rights to the soon to be released game.
"Separate teams have been quietly yet feverishly at work for years on the two projects that promise to ramp up Beatlemania again for yet another generation. The main projects take contrasting approaches: The group's recorded past is being faithfully refurbished in CDs that may serve as a last hurrah for a format in decline, while the video game fancifully springboards the group into the world of interactive game play, and symbolically, into the entertainment future, as reported on ChicagoTribune.com.
Various retail stores have been taking advanced orders for the CDs, box sets and "Rock Band" for months now. It's also a safe bet that The Beatles will top the sales charts once again, nearly 40 years after their breakup.
According to MLive.com, "The Beatles even appear on the cover of the most recent issue of Rolling Stone magazine, the 33rd time the band or its individual members have been spotlighted out front, with VH1 and VH1 Classic airing a variety of Beatles documentaries and concerts over the next 10 days."
