Beckhams Strip to Skivvies for Attention in W Magazine

In a bid to raise their pop culture celebrity status with American audiences, David and Victoria Beckham have posed for a series of photos in an upcoming issue of W magazine, set for release July 20th. The rather risque photos depict both British pop culture icons in nothing but their skivvies, and in one, Becks is reportedly unzipping Posh's lingerie.

The former Spice Girl feels good about the photo shoot, saying that the finished product really shows the "real" Victoria. "I think people are really going to see me for the first time...I think they have this impression that I'm this miserable cow who doesn't smile." But, Posh assures us, she's nothing like that at all. The ongoing sweep of publicity stunts continues for the Beckhams as they prep for the soccer star's big move to the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer. Victoria, for her part, has lined up several talk shows, a TV documentary -- reality style, and of course there's the Spice Girls reunion tour. The tour, recently announced, will kick off in Los Angeles and continue around the globe.

David and Victoria met at a soccer game in London back in 1997 and have since become the darlings of the British tabloids. The couple wed in September of 1999 and have three sons together.
