Ben Roethlisberger’s sexual assault case has gotten incessantly worse for him as of late and on Friday, it took another nasty turn.
The 20-year-old girl who filed a lawsuit against Roethlisberger claimed that she made an attempt to get away from him, but he cornered her into a bathroom at a nightclub. This allegedly happened in the wee hours of March 5. They met earlier that night where they bar hopped with her friends and his crew.
Prosecutors stated earlier in the week that there will be no charges pressed against Roethlisberger.
On Wednesday Sgt. Jerry Blash, who was handling the case, resigned from the police force. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation released case documents yesterday which revealed Blash had made derogatory comments about the girl to other officers which Roethlisberger’s entourage possibly overheard.
After further investigation, the documents showed that a 16-year-old involved in a Milledgeville law enforcement program knew about multiple unwanted sexual advances Roethlisberger made towards a friend’s sister. When asked for an interview, the woman declined.
