Benji Madden Ignores Rumors
Rocker says laughter is the best medicine.
When you've dated Paris Hilton, rumors about you and your personal life are sure to come out from every source. But Benji Madden has found the way to not let them get under his skin. Just laugh.
"You just kind of have to laugh about all the things that are said," Madden said to People, "People will call me all the time and be like 'Hey, I heard this or that.'"
The latest rumor going around is that he has moved on to Britney Spears. Madden is quick to squash that one.
"That one was news to me," he said, "My friend called me and asked if I was dating Britney because he read it somewhere and I was like, what?"
All rumors aside, Madden does have one thing to talk about that is true. He and his band, Good Charlotte, are hard at work on a new album.
"We're taking the time out to make sure the new record is exactly what we want," Madden explained.
He spent New Year's deejaying at Body English at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas and admits he really loves that kind of gig.
"Deejaying has become more of a second kind of career for me," he said, "I've been doing it so much and doing it long enough now that I'm really taking it seriously."
While Good Charlotte "is always number one," Madden does consider deejaying a "big part of my life."
