Betty White and Neil Patrick Harris Receive Creative Arts Emmy Awards
Betty White and Neil Patrick Harris walked away winners at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards this past Saturday night. Betty White, whose popularity has soared since her memorable role in The Proposal, won for hosting Saturday Night Live. Thanks to Facebook campaigns rallying NBC to get White to host, SNL scored its highest ratings since Fall 2008.
Meanwhile, Harris snagged two Emmys on Saturday; one for his duties as host of the 63rd annual Tony Awards and another for portraying Will Schuester’s nemesis, Bryan Ryan, on the hit television series, Glee.
Come August 29th, Harris could add another Emmy to his mantle. He is up for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role on How I Met Your Mother. However, he faces tough competition against a Gleek and a handful of cast members from ABC’s Modern Family.
Other Creative Arts Emmy Winners included John Lithgow for his role as the Trinity Killer on Showtime’s Dexter and Jeff Probst as the host of Survivor.
