Bewitched Doesn't Work Magic on Audiences

Wouldn't it be nice if the spells cast in the recently released Bewitched could be used to get the TV-show-turned-movie at the top of the box office charts? Although the tricks used in the movie, starring Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell are out of this world, they proved short of magical. In this film version of the 60's television series, also by the same name, hot-shot actor Jack Whatt, (Will Ferrell) sets out to star as Darrin Stephens and finds his ideal in his on-screen wife, Samantha, played by Isabel Bigelow (Nicole Kidman). Not only does this version not do justice to the television series, Ferrell's usually comedic performance casts a dry spell.
