Beyoncé and Kanye West Join Eminem and Jay-Z on Stage at Yankee Stadium

The hip-hop legends pulled out all the stops -- and plenty of high-profile guests -- during the first of two Yankee Stadium shows

Less than two weeks after tearing the house down at Detroit’s Comerica Park, Eminem and Jay-Z performed at New York City’s Yankee Stadium Monday night and pulled out all the stops for yet another unforgettable concert. Beyoncé, Dr. Dre, Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Kanye West all made guest appearances while Swizz Beatz, Bridget Kelly, and Coldplay’s Chris Martin also joined the hip-hop legends on stage.

Fayetteville, North Carolina native J. Cole, the first artist signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label and one of the music industry’s most promising breakthrough performers, opened the concert before Eminem took the stage in the second slot, MTV.com reports.

While Jay-Z opened and Eminem closed the Comerica Park shows, they reversed roles in Hov’s hometown. Jay-Z’s first surprise for the 50,000-plus fans in attendance came when he brought out West to perform “Run This Town” and the “Power” remix.

When Beyoncé emerged on stage to perform “Forever Young” with her husband, the crowd provided overwhelming approval with a deafening ovation as Jay-Z said, “That girl bad! That girl tough!”

“It’s one of the most unbelievable feelings in the world, being from New York and being in Yankee Stadium,” Jay-Z proudly told the audience. "This is better than any Grammy. Better than any MTV award. This night was a gift for me. I hope I returned it tenfold.”
