Beyonce and Jay-Z File Wedding License

The Bonny and Clyde duo have made it official, at least according to the Scarsdale courthouse; the couple still isn't talking to the press.

Well it's official. Beyonce Knowles and Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter are married. The couple, who reportedly wed on April 4 in a very hush hush ceremony, turned in their marriage license on Friday to a Scarsdale, New York courthouse.

The couple has been trying to play it coy, but TMZ obtained a copy of the marriage license and MTV has also reported that the license is real. A spokesperson for the Scarsdale clerk's office has also confirmed that it is official.

The couple wed privately on the 4th and then had a few close friends to a reception in New York. The guest list included Chris Martin and wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, among many other celebrities and family.

Knowles and Carter aren't the only ones to keep the wedding under wraps. Solange Knowles, Beyonce's sister, played coy when asked about the wedding and wouldn't say much more to Us than, "Family is family, and we're all [a] very tight-knit, protective family."

So for now we're going to have to trust the Scarsdale Courthouse to update us on the newlyweds.
