Beyonce Announces North American Summer Tour

Beyonce and her alter ego, Sasha Fierce, will kick off a world tour at New York's Madison Square Garden in June.

The 27-year-old R&B singer's "I Am . . ." world tour is in support of her recent album, I Am . . . Sasha Fierce.

The world tour will hit 17 arenas across North America, including the tour's last show on Aug. 2 at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas.

Due to the country's economic situation, Beyonce is allowing 2,000 seats to be available at each venue, except Las Vegas, for only $20 each.

The concert will also include the winners of her "Single Ladies" dance contest. The singer's tour wardrobe will include 71 costumes that were created by fashion designer, Thierry Mugler, reports People.com.

Beyonce fan club members can buy tickets on April 20. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on April 25.
