Beyonce Becomes "Sasha Fierce."

Sad news. There apparently is no more Beyonce.

You read correctly. That's all in the past. There is now the new, the bold, and the entity called "Sasha Fierce" reports reuters.

In following the road of other artist before her such as Eminem or perhaps even Prince, the singer has given herself a new name.

The former Destiny's Child singer has changed her name just in time for the Nov 18 release of her new album "I am Sasha Firece."

According to a statement made by the R& B singer, there are reasons to this sudden change of name, and it's not just about sex appeal.

"I have someone else that takes over when it's time for me to work and when I'm on stage, this alter ego that I've created that kind of protects me and who I really am," she said.

According to Beyonce, "Fierce" is the nickname she has given to the more racy side of her personality.

"Sasha Fierce is the fun, more sensual, more aggressive, more outspoken side and more glamorous side that comes out when I'm working and when I'm on the stage."

In keeping with fun, the singer has reportedly also set up a cryptic MySpace page that will give away a personal message and $500 gift bag to one "lucky person."

As for the name itself, its up to fans to decide what they think. Who is better Beyonce or the new "Sasha Fierce"?
