In an interview with Elle magazine, the singer said her relationship with rapper Jay-Z can be a "power struggle" at times and she isn't ready for children just yet.

While her professional career is currently toting a new album and a new film, singer Beyonce Knowles said aspects of her personal life can be "terrifying" and a "power struggle," according to People magazine.

Knowles admitted her marriage to rapper Jay-Z can be a "power struggle" because of their respective careers and egos, but she said his strength also attracts her to Jay-Z.

"If I didn't respect someone and they didn't have that strength, then I would be bored," Knowles said. "I wouldn't be attracted to them."

The couple wed in April in a secret ceremony and were named the richest couple of the year by Forbes magazine. Their estimated worth is $162 million.

Knowles also said she is not ready to start a family just yet, but she would eventually like "a couple" of children.

"I'm terrified of having a child," the singer said. "No way! I'm terrified of delivering a child because I saw my nephew being born. That traumatized me. I'm only 27. I've got time."

Knowles's latest album, I Am . . . Sasha Fierce, debuted in the number one spot, according to Billboard's charts. She will also play Etta James in the upcoming flick, Cadillac Records.
