Beyonce Injures Hamstring During Dance Rehearsal
Singer Beyonce sustained a leg injury Tuesday, during a rehearsal with her band mates from the R&B group Destiny's child.
According to the Associated Press, the group was rehearsing for a television special to promote their new album, when the singer tore her right hamstring. This will not affect the release of the album, but whether or not Beyonce can do any promotional work has yet to be seen.
"We're all keeping our fingers crossed that, because she's young and healthy, it heals fast," group spokesperson Yvette Noel-Shure told the AP.
The singer has been told to refrain from doing any strenuous activity for about a week.
Destiny's Child's much awaited reunion comes on the heels of Beyonce's hugely successful solo album "Dangerously in Love". The album has gone triple platinum since its release last year, and has picked up numerous awards, including the MTV Video Music Award for Best Female Video.
Destiny's Child's new album "Destiny Fulfilled", hits stores November 16.
