Beyonce is returning to the VMA stage.
The 30-year-old “Best Thing I Never Had’ singer, who last performed at the awards show two years ago, will be performing this year, joining already announced performers Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Adele, Chris Brown, Pitbull and Ne-Yo, Lil Wayne, Young the Giant, and Jessie J, who will be the house artist for the festivities.
"We are thrilled to have Beyoncé return to her rightful musical home at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards," Amy Doyle, the executive producer of the VMAs, said in a statement to MTV News.
"Her performances at the VMAs are legendary — leaving everyone breathless and talking for days. We can't wait to see her set the stage on fire once again!"
Beyonce is not only a performer, but she’s also a three-time nominee this year. She’s nominated for such awards as Best Female Video, Best Choreography, and Best Cinematography.
The 2011 Video Music Awards, which will have no one hosting, will air live Sunday, August 28 at 9:00 p.m. on MTV.
