Beyonce Set To Be <i> Obsessed</i>

After experiencing a great deal of success in previous films, most notably Dreamgirls, Beyonce Knowles is set to return to the big screen.

Knowles will star alongside Ali Larter and Idris Elba in Obsessed, a thriller that will begin production this summer, according to Variety.

Steve Shill will direct the script written by David Loughery.

Will Packer will produce, and Knowles will serve as executive producer along with her father, Mathew Knowles.

The casting details are being finalized, with Screen Gems, the studio making Obsessed, is ironing out scheduling conflicts between Larter and Knowles. Knowles is also producing and co-starring as Etta James in Cadillac Records for Sony BMG; Larter is scheduled to work on episodes of NBC's Heroes once production starts back up in June.

In Obsessed, Elba will play an asset manager who has a beautiful wife (Knowles) and thriving career until a temp worker (Larter) begins stalking him.

A tentative release date has yet to be announced.
