Beyonce stepped out publicly on Monday in New York for the first time since giving birth to her daughter, Blue Ivy, in early January.
People reports, the “Love On Top” singer, 30, stepped out in support of her husband, Jay-Z, who was performing at Carnegie Hall, a concert that benefitted the rapper’s Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation and the United Way.
According to Us Weekly, Beyonce wore an orange curve hugging Alice Temperley dress with Ofira & Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, an Alexander McQueen clutch, and she was back in sky-high Christian Louboutin platform heels.
At the concert, Jay-Z got choked up before performing “Glory,” a song he wrote for his new daughter.
"You could tell Jay is over the moon," a source told the magazine. "He asked the crowd if there are any proud parents out there. Then after he said, 'I didn't think I was gonna make it through that one -- that was tough."
After the show, Beyonce accompanied her husband to his 40/40 club. She arrived after her husband, and avoided the red carpet, but she and Jay-Z were congratulated on their new daughter. Beyonce “made a much bigger effort to say hello to nearly everyone, making rounds around the whole club before joining Jay-Z and guests in the VIP room,” according to an Us Weekly source.
