Beyonce's Fur Follies

Next time you need to get a message to Beyonce Knowles, try winning a meal with her.

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals did just that when they couldn't get ahold of Knowles by fax or mail. Also, she apparently missed the full-page ad in "Billboard" and the demonstrations. So, they won a meal with her on an eBay auction and got to work.

The activists spent the meal trying to get the singer to stop using fur in her House of Dereon clothing line while Knowles tried to get the other members of her party to help her.

Eventually, the PETA activists pulled out a portable DVD player to show Knowles footage of animals being killed for their fur. Not surprisingly, the activists were escorted out of the restaurant.

A spokesperson for Knowles said she had no comment on the incident.
