Beyonce's Mother Files for Divorce

Tina Knowles putting an end to long-time marriage.

Beyonce's mother is taking Usher's advice and "signing them papers." After 29 years of marriage, Tina Knowles has reportedly filed divorce papers against Mathew Knowles.

Both parents have had considerable involvement in Beyonce's success. Mathew quit his job in order to act as manager when the singer was still very young, back when Destiny's Child called themselves Girl's Tyme. He founded Music World Entertainment record label and has produced many projects in Beyonce's library, including the 2009 film Obsessed.

As for Tina, she currently acts as Beyonce's costume designer and also helped with outfits for Destiny's Child in the beginning years. In 2004 she launched a fashion line, House of Dereon, with Beyonce.

It is unknown if a paternity suit report against Mathew prompted the divorce.
