Big Names such as Beyonce and Taylor Swift to Perform at Grammys
On Tuesday, it was announced that Beyonce, Taylor Swift, and the Black Eyed Peas were among the superstars to perform at the Grammy Awards this year.
Swift, whose eight nominations are second only to Beyonce’s ten, will also present an award at the show, PEOPLE reveals.
Other performances include nominees Lady Antebellum, who has two nominations, and Maxwell, who has six. They will perform on the live CBS telecast.
Beyonce, who has already won ten Grammys, is up for Record of the Year for her song “Halo,” Album of the Year for “I am…Sasha Fierce,” and Song of the Year for “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).”
Swift will go head to head with Beyonce for those three awards. For Record of the Year and Song of the Year, Swift is nominated for “You Belong With Me,” and for Album of the Year she is nominated for “Fearless.”
Black Eyed Peas, who are triple Grammy award winners, are also up for Record of the Year, for “I Gotta Feeling,” and Album of the Year, for “The E.N.D.”
Kanye West also has six nominations, setting the stage for possibly another showdown between West and Swift, rivals from the MTV Video Awards when West interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech for Best Video of the Year.
The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards will air on CBS live on Jan. 31 at 8 p.m.
