B.I.G Slaying Back on Trial

After revealing misconduct by the Los Angeles Police Department, $1.1 million has been awarded to the Wallace family.

Voletta Wallace, Christopher Wallace's mother (aka Notorious B.I.G,) has suffered immensely ever since March 9, 1997. Not only did she lose her son at an untimely 24 years of age the case has also gone unsolved for years.

So what new heartbreak awaits mother Wallace now? It has recently been stated that there was some foul play by the investigation force working on her son's murder. A federal judge has ordered the city of Los Angeles. to pay $1.1 million to the family for intentionally withholding evidence.

It is rather devastating to learn years later that a son's unsolved murder may remain unsolved. The case was ruled a mistrial in July after information revealed that the Los Angeles Police Department intentionally withheld statements that linked two LAPD officers, David Mack and Rafael Perez, to the shooting.

Now that new evidence has surfaced maybe the mystery can be resolved. Only time will tell as the retrial is scheduled to begin later this year.
