Bill Clinton to Talk Music on New Elvis Costello Show

The former president will be guest on one of the first four episodes.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, former president Bill Clinton will be among the first guests on Spectacle: Elvis Costello with . . ., a new Costello-hosted talk/variety show which debuts December 3.

The show is set to air on the Sundance Channel in the United States and will feature Clinton, Lou Reed, Tony Bennett and Elton John during its first four hour-long episodes. A total of thirteen episodes have been planned, but a broadcast schedule has not been announced, AP News reports.

Elton John, whose company is among the show's producers, has worked with Clinton on AIDS fund-raising in the past, which is how the former president got involved in the Costello show.

Guests on the show will range from career musicians to music enthusiasts. Clinton will not perform on his saxophone during his hour-long chat with Costello, but will focus on music's influence on his life, early career aspirations and time in the White House.

Costello, born Declan Patrick MacManus, is currently on tour in the United States.
