Billboard Touring Awards Announce Winners

The Boss, Spice Girls among best concerts.

The Billboard Touring Awards announced their winners at an event in New York City, this past weekend. The fifth annual ceremony honored the year's best artists and their concerts, as well as the venues where these events took place.

LiveDaily reports that the big winner was Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, winning Top Tour and Top Draw. They were chosen for being the top-grossing and top ticket-selling event of the year.

The Spice Girls and their reunion tour also won, taking home the Top Boxscore award for their 17-night, sold out concerts at London's O2 arena.

Kenny Chesney won two awards. One for Eventful Fans' Choice and, for the fourth year in a row, Top Tour Package for his recent "Poets & Pirates Tour."

Top Breakthrough Artist went to Miley Cyrus and her sold-out "Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus Best of Both Worlds Tour." Comedian Katt Williams won Top Comedy Tour.

Online voters also had a say in who won. They chose the Jonas Brothers and their "Burning Up Tour" for Concert Marketing & Promotion Award. The Burger King-sponsored tour won with more than 100,000 votes.

Billboard's box office results determine the winners for the awards.
