Billy Ray Cyrus Fine with Miley's Pole Dance

Billy Ray Cyrus downplays Miley's pole dance, saying that it is a part of her love of entertaining.

Miley Cyrus, 16, caused controversy with her pole dance at the Teen Choice Awards Aug. 10, but Billy Ray Cyrus has no problem with it.

Access Hollywood reported that Billy Ray Cyrus downplayed the attention Miley's pole dance has attracted, saying, "Miley loves entertaining people."

He continued saying, "I always tell her to love what you're doing and stay focused for the love of the art and not worry so much about opinion. I give my kids a lot of freedom to make the art they want to make and make it in their own voice. I think it's important."

Miley's pole dance is just the latest in the string of controversies the young star's actions have caused. Risque photos of Miley have found their way to the Web, and Miley posed topless (from the back) for a cover shoot with "Vanity Fair."

Are these actions really risque or simply inappropriate because of Miley's young age?
