Bindi the Crocodile Daughter

Steve Irwin's daughter follows in her father's footsteps with a new show called "Bindi: The Jungle Girl."

Bindi Irwin, 8-year-old daughter of the late Steve Irwin, famous for his show Crocodile Hunter, wants to continue the mission of her father with a new TV show. The show, launched Friday in Australia, is called Bindi: The Jungle Girl, and aims to educate about nature conservation efforts.

"I'm proud to be showing kids that conservation and helping wildlife is a stack of fun. It's just the most amazing thing that we could ever do," she said. The show will feature scenes of Steve before he was killed, and will be accompanied by energetic Bindi, who has been filming with her mother and father since she was first born. "It was a natural progression to be doing her own shows," Terri, her mother, said.

In the States, the show will premiere on June 9, shown on the Discovery Kids Channel. As promotion for the show, Bindi will also host a one-hour special on June 8 on the Animal Planet, called My Daddy the Croc Hunter.
